First and foremost, VOICES is a monthly non-profit newspaper of investigative journalism and regional and local interest news. Operated by volunteers for over 16 years, VOICES has brought hard-hitting in-depth news and community services to the citizens of Central Pa.
Voices is also a community-building organization, hosting and sponsoring events, and giving people in the community a platform to express their opinions and ideas, and to communicate with each other and build up community strengths.
After years of effort by the board, Voices was awarded 501c3 status in 2009, and donations to Voices are now tax deductible.
This is the Voices of Central Pennsylvania Guidestar report.
Voices has plans to expand and grow in the coming decade, including sponsoring many more events, and helping all the other non-profit and community efforts in our region work together and communicate more effectively.
