We mourn the death of a talented writer, Betty Lee Rodgers, who toigether with her husband Bob created the Universal Light Messenger in the 1990s as a monthly. Although we tended to reach the same group of readers, we regarded their paper as a friendly rival, and when Bob and Betty Lee decided they could no longer afford to publish it, we invited them to contribute their writings to Voices. Many issues between March 1999 and July-August 2001 contain Betty Lee's cheerful columns. She died on Saturday night, December 4. Our condolences to Bob.
